JOB SUMMARY:

Performs angiographic and interventional imaging procedures. Operates radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs as directed by physicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• 
  Performs angiographic and interventional procedures.
• Processes radiographic images; assures quality of images; submits for physician's review.
• Performs all routine Radiographic procedures.
• Performs all basic RIS and HIS functions.
• Takes patient history; documents for Radiologist.
• Explains procedures to patients. Monitors patient during procedures and notifies Radiologist of changes.
• Maintains required continuing education credits per state license and registry.
• Performs quality control tests, as assigned.
• Ensures security in the receipt, transport and/or storage of medications to include IV solutions.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist.
• Participates in on call rotation as assigned.
• Participates in inventory control processes as assigned.
• Strives to achieve excellence of service as described in the CARE Manual.
• Responds to Shore Health System emergency codes as trained and assigned.
• Responsible for honest behavior in all matters. To the best of the employee's knowledge and understanding, complies with all Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Uses and discloses only that information which is necessary to perform the function of the job.
• Performs related duties as assigned

What You Need to Be Successful:

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Successful completion of a two-year AMA accredited school in Radiologic Technology. Certification as a Registered Radiographer and CVT registry or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. State of Maryland License as a Radiographer. Successful completion of at least one year of additional clinical training in Angiographic Technique or proven angiographic skills. Current CPR certification
