Position Summary
The primary focus of this position will be to evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and ensure best practices are being followed in our production areas. This position will provide oversight in our production areas during production operation. The Quality Technician I will work closely with the Continuous Improvement Supervisor and Quality Control Lead to report daily quality issues and to provide possible root causes. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and ensure best quality practices are being implemented.
  • Ability to stay up to date with current production processes and best Quality practices.
  • Working as a primary contact for Quality related issues for production.
  • Assist with training and help educating new production operators.
  • Communicate effectively with Production Managers to clarify issues.
  • Assist Line Repair with addressing production staff with quality concerns.
  • Sort and process failed parts for vendor evaluation and RCA
  • Other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude
  • A minimum of two years related experience and/or training
  • EPA Certified
  • Must be HVAC trained.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional wiring schematics, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Regularly required stand for periods of time as well as reaching, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
