JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Quality Manager REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
Quality Manager:
- Interfaces with customers and suppliers, as needed, regarding quality system improvement and corrective actions.
- Maintains and reports customer ratings of performance.
- Access customers portals for customer scorecards and any other required items.
- Ensures timely response to customer concerns and execution of corrective actions.
- Collects and reports quality system audit results, as appropriate.
- Ensures appropriate staffing and training of quality department personnel.
- Ensures adequate support for APQP procedures.
- Ensures that appropriate inspection, measuring and testing equipment is in place to meet customer requirements and quality system requirements.
- Recommends and implements appropriate SPC procedure including training of personnel.
- Generate monthly internal PPM reports
- Write operator / inspection / receiving / fixture and assembly instructions based on control plan and customer expectations.
- Develop quality alerts for customer/internal issues.
- Audit quality department paperwork to verify compliance.
- Follow-up to assure that Supplier Rejects are returned and proper credits taken.
- Interprets Engineering drawings and confers with Management and/or Engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance
- Maintains calibration program, i.e., performs calibration in-house schedules and coordinates outsourced calibration.
- Updates schedules and tags all gages with calibration identification and recall information.
- Coordinates all required gage repair.
- Coordinates gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) activity including writing gage instructions.
- Assists, performs & coordinates dimensional layouts as needed
- Implementation and customer approval of appropriate packaging for in-process
Education/Experience Required: Mandatory.
TS IATF Training.
Core Tool Training (PPAP, Control plan. FMEA, APQP, SPC)
IMDS
Blue Print reading
GD&T
Gauge R&R
Capability Studies
Good communication skill both written and oral.
Strong organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Desired: Knowledge of Plex system.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
