Quality Assurance – Manager - QC Dept & (Safety Director) The QA Manager is responsible for meeting/exceeding Advanced Converting’s objectives regarding implementing, maintaining and continually improving our Quality Control System (Manual & Procedures) as well as QA performance. The goal being; Quality optimization - to ensure on time, accurate material and part inspections, dimensioning and recording data specific to each Job Order and quality procedure(s), verification of inspection interval and requirements as well as accuracy of recorded data. The QA Manager is responsible for meeting customer flow down requirements, audits (external & internal), Management of QC department and performance metrics review with Company Owners. . Job Specific Duties : Quality Control Manual and Procedures:

  • Implement and maintain QC system documents as written.
  • Gap analysis & planned stages for ISO submittal/certification timeline.
  • Champion QC enhancements/changes as our business needs change.
  • Training of all employees applicable Quality Procedures & document.
  • Management review of systems and performance metrics.
New JO Review:
  • New Job Orders reviewed prior to submittal to production scheduling for;
1) inspection frequency, 2) Dwg Rev level accuracy, 3) Content review. Discrepancies resolved prior to submittal and operator training conducted as needed in advance of Job Order processing. Receiving inspection:
  • Inbound material inspected along with associated paperwork, material ID’d and dated per Quality Procedures prior to being released into storage. Inventory Management and Control - maintained (Procedures Reviewed).
Process Inspection:
  • Press set up and 1st article inspection or (FAIR) required prior to authorization of production run. Requirements (i.e. Frequency and content are all job specific).
  • In-Process inspection and dimensioning required for authorizing continuation of production. Requirements (i.e. Frequency and content) are all job specific.
Final Inspection:
  • Open box inspection of outgoing product evaluated for: Content/Box/Packing List ID accuracy - prior to ACI Certification signature.

Shipping Inspection / Certification:
  • Outbound shipments must be verified for accuracy of content with labeling and paperwork (packing list, Mfg certs or our certification – as needed) correctly matching.
  • ACI Certifications must be signed dated and verified as correct match.
Data collection and submittal:
  • Measurements collected and recorded as needed and per specific Job requirements with samples identified and reports as needed.
  • Other data such as PPAP’s, PFMEA, CpK’s, Gauge R&R, Metrology Data, Dimensional results/customer required testing. (Micro-Vu programming)
  • Material specification testing for peel, shear, tensile etc. performed in house or out processed as needed with data collection/storage/submittal.
Maintaining Records:
  • Inspection data files must be kept organized, identified and accessible.
Calibration & Records:
  • All inspection tools must be maintained current regarding calibration & records must be updated according to our Quality Procedures.
Customer Interface/Reqm'ts:
  • QC interface with the customer as well as customer requests, test data, surveys, RMA, CAPA, FAIRs, Misc. performed as needed.
Quality Audits/Training:
  • Formal QC audits per Advanced QC Manual/Procedures to be maintained and documented as well as Non-Formal spot audits of key items to be performed on a regular basis.
  • Customer walk-thru audits of our facility as well as electronic or hard copy self assessment audits performed as needed.
  • Training personnel - Inspectors, Operators, S/R Clerks - others - QC protocol.
Quality Inspector Reviews:
  • Subordinates to the QC Manager to be reviewed formally on employee’s anniversary and informally throughout the year.
Quality Control equipment, supplies and facility:
  • The QC Manager is responsible for maintaining adequate working equipment & supplies as well as keeping QC work areas clean and well organized. New items needed go through our approval order process.
Misc.:
  • Safety Director (manual updates & training & facility review/updates) - Assist on in bound phone calls, customer special projects, production feasibility meeting, literature and web site input, misc. items as needed by management. (ACI-F418C)
