Title: Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) Reports to: Director of Residential Services Department: Residential Program Location: 7600 Vanalden St. Reseda, FLSA Status: Exempt/B Program Hours: On call, 24/7 for licensed ICF/DDN residential home. Flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends. Supervisory Responsibility: Residential Manager Position Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, coordinates the provision of services to residents in the licensed Intermediate Care Facility/Developmentally Disabled Nursing (ICF/DDN). Provide a minimum of 1.75 hours of QIDP service to each resident per week per Title 22 requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities 20% Monitor and maintain staff schedules and timesheets; coordinate staff training events. Schedule and hold monthly staff meetings and trainings, ensuring staff receive the required training as per title 22 regulations. Coordinate with the nurse manager to ensure new staff receive attendant training within 6 months of hire. 20% Oversee residents’ affairs, which include but are not limited to, screening process for new residents, termination, behavior intervention, skills training, financial resources, health maintenance, day programs, and recreational activities. Work with the Recreation Therapist on developing inexpensive and appropriate activities for the residents 20% Coordinate with Regional Center, residents’ families and ICF consultants for effective resident care, active treatment, habilitation, health maintenance and evaluation. With the assistance of the interdisciplinary team members, write the residents’ individual service plans. Ensure monthly progress notes are completed in a timely manner. 10% Perform supervisory and management duties which involve working on multiple assignments with short term deadlines to ensure continuing operations and management of ICF/DDN services. Ensure everything is within regulations, staffing ratio, medical needs, etc. 5% In consultation with the Director of Residential Services and Human Resources Department, handle personnel administration duties, including recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, development and evaluation of staff in compliance with established ECF policies and procedures. 5% Oversee fair and consistent administration of personnel policies. Develop and maintain facility policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance with all acceptable program practices and procedures. 5% Administer ICF/DDN budget, and provide for proper fiscal administration of resident’s money and valuables. 5% Liaison with all monitoring agencies such as Department of Public Health Services, Medi-Cal, and Regional Centers to ensure compliance with licensing and certification and other regulatory standards. Conduct monthly inspections of the program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standard requirements. Act as a facility representative to receive licensing officials 5% Review staff and resident incident reports and accidents and take appropriate corrective action per licensing regulations. 5% Coordinate and chair quarterly Human Rights Committee meetings. Work with the nurse manager and hold quarterly Infection Control meetings. Other Duties Qualifications Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required. Experience: Two years working with developmentally disabled population in a residential or day program setting. Two years supervisory experience as QIDP or other management position in licensed residential settings for individuals with developmental disabilities.
