Southern Industrial is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator for our office Raleigh, NC. Facilitates Company operations by purchasing or approving the acquisition of goods and services. Responsible for ensuring that the Company receives the best service and pricing to complete our operations in a timely and cost-effective manner. Associates Degree in Business or Accounting, plus two years technical purchasing related experience or equivalent education and experience required. Experience in the use of business software, such as: word processing, spreadsheet and email applications required. Must be professional, have good communication skills and possess the ability to work in a multitasked continually changing environment. Experience with purchasing material in the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, and civil preferred. Professional Certification as an Accredited Purchasing Practitioner - A.P.P., Certified Purchasing Professional – C.P.P., or Certified Purchasing Manager - C.P.M. or other associated certification is desirable, or the willingness to obtain such certification.
