JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Purchasing Clerk FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Purchasing Manager Department: Maintenance Job Summary The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for the preparation of invoices for products and services that are used to maintain and repair broken machines. This position requires regular interaction with the maintenance staff and work order entry/inventory control personnel. Essential Functions 1. Review purchase orders for accuracy and compliance with company policies. 2. Manage all aspects of purchase orders and invoices. 3. Process invoices for review and approval. 4. Maintain Vendor Invoice folders. 5. Promote and maintain a team atmosphere. 6. Provide exceptional customer service in a clean, organized environment 7. Performs other duties as assigned. Education/Experience 1. 3-4 years of job related experience 2. High school diploma or GED required Job Requirements/Skills 1. Basic knowledge in Excel, Outlook, and Word 2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 3. Problem solving skills 4. Sound research skills 5. Detail oriented 6. Able to prioritize tasks 7. Perform other job-related duties as assigned Physical Requirements 1. Office Environment. Utilizing an office desk-sitting, reading, listening or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day 2. Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing and dexterity 3. Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phones 4. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 5. Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather.
