For the Red Wing area, Hiawathaland Transit is seeking someone willing to be 'on call' to fill in for occasional absences.

At this time we are only hiring individuals who already have a Class C CDL and Passenger Endorsement (PE). Start at $18.50/hour.

Hiawathaland Public Transportation is administered by Three Rivers Community Action, Inc., a non-profit agency providing economic opportunities that strengthen individuals, families and communities in southeastern Minnesota.

Job offers are contingent on a reference check; a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review; a criminal background check with fingerprinting through the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS); and a pre-employment DOT drug test. Employees in this position are subject to random and reasonable suspicion DOT drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment.

Will primarily drive in the Red Wing area, but may occasionally be assigned to another city/community.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 5+ years of driving experience preferred
• Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate ( Med Card ) must be obtained prior to first day
• Class C Commercial Driver s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language
• Ability to use an electronic tablet
• Compassion for riders and rider safety
• Courteous and effective communication
