Join a creative, collaborative and curious PR team! We are looking for an experienced communications pro to bring their expertise in building compelling stories, bringing to life impactful communications/PR campaigns, and engaging with press.

You'll be part of an award-winning communications team supporting the #1 credit card issuer in the US. This PR expert will manage external communications/public relations and play an integral role in shaping the go-to-market strategies and messaging for our leading Freedom cash back credit card portfolio including Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex, the emerging new to credit segment with Freedom Student, our Slate card portfolio, as well as some of our exciting features, enhancements and offers that add value across all of our card portfolios.

We're looking for someone who can critically consider the 360 integrated marketing/communications approach, develop and execute breakthrough campaigns and tell compelling stories with a fresh, modern and human voice. And have some fun along the way.

The position will report to the Head of Communications for Chase Card Services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, present and execute strategic and tactical communications/public relations campaigns that drive business outcomes
  • Serve as strategic communications counsel to Chase card business team leaders and managers
  • Collaborate with internal and external Chase marketing support teams (social, brand/advertising, video, content), business leaders, external partners and support agencies to tell a holistic story
  • Manage communications/PR agency on campaign execution and measurement
  • Coordinate with internal communications team members to pull through meaningful storylines within Chase
  • Assist on talent management for PR purposes, as applicable
  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm - both externally and among employees
  • Domestic travel could be required

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in a communications/PR or marketing role
  • Proven experience in proactive and reactive media relations, and proactively executing public relations campaigns that resulted in positive press coverage and support business results
  • Experience working in the financial services, credit cards or consumer product industries
  • Experience working in a large company a plus
  • Executive communications experience - consulting directly with an executive/leaders - preferred
  • Experience working on an integrated marketing team a plus
  • Relationships with lifestyle and/or business/finance media

Ideal candidate would have the following skill set:
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Subject matter expertise in financial, lifestyle press and consumer PR
  • Building meaningful narratives and storylines
  • Outstanding partnering/collaboration capabilities
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Fluency across social media and other multi-media channels
  • Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility and adaptability. We need a go-getter with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines - and sometimes outside traditional business hours.
  • Executive presence and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated expertise telling a story visually (PowerPoint)
  • Excellent relationship building and collaborative decision-making skills; strong verbal and written communication skills
