Our Psychologist conducts comprehensive assessment services to individuals designated as Sexually Violent Predators. This position is an active member of the treatment team, providing staff education as needed on psychological issues and consultation to the treatment teams.

Education for Psychologist:

  • Doctorate in psychology
Experience for Psychologist:
  • Experience with mental health delivery systems
  • Significant professional experience in the mental field that indicates knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments
Licenses/Certifications for Psychologist:
  • Licensed to practice psychology in the State by the appropriate state licensing agency
Responsibilities:
  • Provides Annual Treatment Progress Reviews to the Courts.
  • Conducts comprehensive evaluations to assist in sex offender treatment planning.
  • Conducts testing to provide diagnostic clarity when indicated.
  • Serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary teams and Clinical Leadership.
  • Supervises and trains psychology post-doctoral fellows, when appropriate.
  • Provides training to new employees and other staff when required.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional personal and professional boundaries.
  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  • Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  • Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
