We are seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our Medical Services team who is committed to enhancing lives every day. Under limited supervision this position provides psychiatric medication services. In addition, this role provides clinical care, assessment, treatment and support services to consumers and /or their families.

Work You’ll do:
As a Psychiatrist, you will:
- Provide psychiatric assessment, pharmacological management, medication education, treatment planning and psychotherapy.
- Consult with clinicians, case managers and other program staff, and family members of consumers for ongoing clinical needs and treatment plans.
- Provide leadership to the treatment team but acknowledges supports and utilizes the skills, experience and knowledge of non-medical team members.
- Inform and educates other clinical staff in salient aspects of consumer health, interrelationship of psychosocial and medical problems as well as appropriate evidence-based use of medication.
- Ensure that medical services provided meet prevailing professional standards.
- Function as a team member, giving and receiving feedback, using conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, and participation in program planning.
- Coordinate ongoing treatment and schedule with clinical supervisor, seeking appropriate support and direction.
- Coordinate and attend meetings as appropriate and as agreed upon with supervisor.
- Perform program duties or projects as assigned including administrative duties.
- Keep up to date on current research and state-of-the-art knowledge regarding mental illness, especially psychopharmacology of major mental illness according to prevailing standards from professional organizations and community.
- Provide care to consumers in a manner that recognizes the human potential, is empathic and demonstrates unconditional positive regard while promoting safety, comfort and the therapeutic environment.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completed a US general psychiatry residency program.
- Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado or license eligible with license granted prior to beginning practice at Community Reach Center.
- Valid DEA License with buprenorphine X waiver.
- Ability to follow detailed oral and written directions and ability to prepare and maintain electronic records.
- Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
- BLS certificate, every two years.
- Ability to provide quality care within 20-minute follow-up appointments.
- On-site practice, tele-video is not available for this position.
