PSR & Peer Support Program Manager JOB SUMMARY The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) and Peer Support Program (PSP) Manager is an integral part of the Specialty Programs Department, which provides recovery-oriented services to individuals with persistent mental illnesses at our outpatient mental health centers across DeKalb County. Under supervision of the Specialty Programs Director, the PSR & Peer Support Program Manager provides daily oversight to each of the these programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Primary office location will be in our Kirkwood Mental Health Clinic; however, travel across all four outpatient clinics will be required. May also require occasional adjusted hours due to programmatic needs and community events; Ability to use a computer, telephone, fax, copy and scanning machine.; Must complete and pass agency-sponsored defensive driving course, as well as all other agency-required trainings. Pre-employment drug screening may be required. The Psychosocial Rehabilitation & Peer Support Program Manager:
Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling and eligible for licensure (LPC or LCSW, preferred); Certification as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP, preferred) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire; Previous experience working with individuals diagnosed with severe, persistent mental illness; Previous leadership experience; Competency in teaching basic group skills, understanding how to engage individuals in treatment & development of self-advocacy; Proficient computer skills to be able to use electronic medical records; Care coordination skills to assist individuals with accessing/linking to additional resources and/or services within the agency and/or community; Must have transportation to and from work, strong interpersonal skills & be a positive team player, ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, & be a positive role model for the organization and individuals served.
WORK CONDITIONS
Master's degree in any behavioral science from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience at lower level Social Svcs Spec 1 (SSP070) or position equivalent.
