Hybrid Schedule (Partially on-site, Partially Remote)M-F 8am-4:30pmPay $42/hr
Responsibilities: The Project Manager/Mentor Program Coordinator will have the following responsibilities.


The Mentorship Program Coordinator serves as the TDH administrator of the Mentor TN Program. The program coordinator manages the recruiting, selection, and mentor/mentee matching process, ensuring that participants are paired with a mentor who meets their specific needs. This position is responsible for developing inter/intra department partnerships, as well as program implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This position will serve as a TDH Department of Human Resources representative on the Health Equity Advisory Team (HEAT).


    • Works with each mentoring pair to provide resources and resolve any issues
    • Communicates regularly with mentors, mentees, and TDH Leadership
    • Provides training both initially and during the program
    • Obtains reports from mentors, mentees, and leadership on program goals and results
    • Conducts an evaluation to determine the program's effectiveness
    • Communicates program results to participants and upper management
    • Conducts separate meetings with mentors and mentees to determine program progress and need for further assistance
    • Reviews program guidelines and makes appropriate changes to enhance program effectiveness
    • Markets the mentoring program to appropriate staff to generate interest in participation and gain support
    • Conducts orientation to explain program goals and the roles of mentors and mentees
    • Performs other duties that may arise from the mentoring program that are necessary for program success
    • Conducts training evaluation to measure the impact of our development programs and to further increase effectiveness.
    • Provides input that supports the development of ROI for leadership development program
    • Manages the recruiting, selection, and matching process

Qualifications: The Project Manager/Mentor Program Coordinator should have the following qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required. Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the areas of leadership development, learning program design, group facilitation, training delivery and training evaluation.
  • Experience in recruitment, training, volunteer management, or social services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, and be able to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other applications as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Skilled and experienced in innovative training delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled at providing coaching to others.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on quality.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Customer focused.

Physical Requirements:
