Job Description Job Description: NASA Aeronautics Research Institute (NARI) is searching for a Project Manager/Coordinator to take a leading role in coordinating and managing various projects that are executed within NARI and in collaboration with various NASA and DOD agencies, commercial industry partners, and other Working Groups. These projects concentrate on current and advanced Airspace, Air Mobility, and Aeronautic subjects. The project management and coordination functions must plan for, anticipate, and adapt to changing requirements, challenges, technologies, and opportunities in order to remain relevant and to ensure the NARI projects will support the future of the aeronautics industry. Using traditional and innovative project management approaches the candidate will coordinate the various functions, individuals, and organizations to bring about needed transformative changes and achieve lasting results. The end result of the project management process is a well-executed plan that meets the requirements of the various stakeholders and manages and delivers on their different expectations. The plan must consider all the components of a successful project, including how all of the components of the system (financial requirements, program requirements, physical networks, regulatory compliance, hardware, software, logistics, human resources, asset management, planning, monitoring, data, etc.) fit together and interact. Successful project design is critical for the required transition to and sustainment of new projects and functions which will better meet the rapidly changing needs of current aeronautics programs. This individual will coordinate NASA development and system demonstration technologies with various NASA and DOD agencies, commercial industry partners, and Working Groups in order to demonstrate how a project will meet the demands of both current and future needs in terms of readiness, resiliency, production targets, and competitiveness in the entire life cycle. Capability development will focus on areas of improvement in the project development life cycle that can benefit NARI and associated agencies. Capability development will also focus on cultivating internal talent and skills to better position NARI for future success.
