Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Job Description: Project Manager – Bus, Rail, and Transit - Pasadena, California OPPORTUNITY: Are you a Project Manager who likes to provide guidance and direction for a wide variety of projects that vary both in scope and size? We are looking for a Project Manager who will provide direction and management for medium- large sized BRT ( Bus, Rail, and Transit ) projects in Metro Los Angeles and Southern California to ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. To be successful in this role you will plan and define program goals and devise methods to accomplish them; you will also develop an in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Typical projects for this role will range up to $30 million or more in total installed cost. This work will primarily support LA Metro and other ancillary agencies. RESPONSIBILITIES: REQUIREMENTS: 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or related technical/business field and at least 12-15 years or more of related work experience is required. Extensive experience with Caltrans, local Cities, or Agencies in Highway and Roadway transportation projects, and LA Metro Rail is essential. Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background. Professional California registration is required. Incumbent must meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
