As a Barclays Project Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Programme Director. You will be responsible for inception, planning, delivery and transformation of Infrastructure Services Globally. You will be required to work with internal teams and strategic partners to deliver collaboration services across multiple regions. You will be responsible for managing a number of aspects of project delivery in line with ITIL principles

What will you be doing?

  • Delivering innovative technology enabled change to all Barclays colleagues transforming our Infrastructure Services Globally whilst enabling colleagues to thrive in their roles
  • Collaborating, leading and galvanising internal teams and strategic partners to deliver our Products and Services Group wide
  • Providing world class communication skills to inspire and invigorate cross functional teams, selling the vision for new ways of working across the Barclays group
  • Showing empathy and strong listening skills to understand Colleagues problems and develop solutions that will drive tangible business benefits; successful candidates will need to demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness
  • Tracking and reporting against these activities to ensure progress.
  • Engaging networks and server ops to ensure project demand is captured and prioritised.
  • Engaging with vendors to ensure all external activities are captured in project plan.
  • Working with CTO and Engineering; coordination of technical team to ensure build design and implementation activities are conducted on time to ensure technical delivery.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in leading the project and embedding the associated Business benefit, this will include identifying and tracking he critical path of the project
  • Create close relationships with Business and Technology teams to collate requirements, plan out delivery activity, drive the wider team to achieve the necessary benefits
  • Manage Product Lifecycle governance and ensure all cross functional teams are properly engaged and aligned on vision; ensure that mandatory requirements relating to standards
  • Master of negotiation and conflict resolution to maintain a dialogue in difficult situations, across wide reaching cross-functional teams

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • ITIL Practitioner who understands processes including change management, service transition, incident/ problem management, etc.
  • Project Management qualification
  • Lead development of benefits realisation, post implementation reviews and lessons learnt documentation
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
