Summary of Position:

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to provide technical project management and key project management support to the organization. The selected candidate will be a dynamic individual responsible for the following position functions:

  • Well managed, timely, accurate and complete delivery of all assigned work.
  • Quality documentation related to tasks associated with the project using industry standard best practices and tools.
  • Execution of integrated project meetings that provide meaningful outcomes.
  • Deliver projects which ensure adoption of industry best practices, standards, policies, and quality controls.
  • Successfully implement technical solutions within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Perform detailed analysis of technical, process and project-level issues in coordination with management, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Work with interdepartmental teams on design and implementation of process enhancements and new business solutions.
  • Perform analysis and documentation of existing and “to-be” workflow processes within the scope of assigned projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Define project scope, identify stakeholders, requirements, and timelines
  • Define team member roles and responsibilities, monitor team performance, and ensure that project resources receive the training required to perform duties
  • Lead project meetings, status calls, coordinate project activities and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Provide sign-off for phase and project completion; document project outcome and lessons learned
  • Provide regular project status updates including project progress toward achieving the objectives defined in the business case
  • Work with interdepartmental teams on design and implementation of process enhancements and new business solutions.
  • Ensure supported products are fully functional and maintained to current patch levels.
  • Develop workflows to manage and/or automate repeatable tasks that are manually performed by Server Administration, Inventory Management, Systems Administration, IT Customer Service, and other IT customer support teams.
  • Guide the integration and organizational adoption of ITIL best practices, standards, policies and controls, and work with team members in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Develop and maintain integration of enterprise’s CMDB with internal resources. Depreciate and replace legacy solutions.
  • Work closely with extended Operations Support teams on integration efforts with Automation, Monitoring and Discovery/CMDB tools.
  • Perform analysis and documentation of existing and “to-be” workflow processes within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Create presentations and reports to support process and configuration management workflows.
  • Provide reports as needed.
  • Conducting the SME review of ESSO requests and having them processed by coordinating with all the managers. Review and process such requests from business continuity standpoint after reviewing the server architecture.
  • Review the disaster recovery and high availability plans provided by the customer.
  • Coordinate the efforts between customer and technical working group to develop a DR and HR plan.
  • Assist internal customers in the DR and HA documentation.
  • Lead and represent management in an external ISO audit.
  • Track the monthly performance metrics to measure the departments performance as part of the ISO Audit compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience with information technology systems project management.
  • PMP preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
