Plan, initiate, and guide information technology (IT) projects. Develop a clear and concise vision for each project and monitor progress towards that vision. Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with business needs and Windstream’s long-term strategy. Oversee the application delivery process, providing technical guidance as necessary. Manage the Agile project backlog.

Desired skills:

• Lead a project team through the complete project management lifecycle in an Agile/Scrum method or traditional SDLC method.
• Establish project vision and goals.
• Understand the architectural vision and ensure projects are in alignment with Windstream’s long-term strategy.
• Translate business requirements into functional bodies of work.
• Work closely with development teams and subject matter experts to plan, perform, and achieve business needs.
• Manage the Agile project backlog creating, grooming, and prioritizing stories.
• Anticipate and mitigate project risks.
• Work with business partners on project management activities such as project initiation, requirements and status reporting

Desired Experience:

• Experience leading teams of people directly and indirectly to accomplish goals.
• Documented experience in managing small to large, multi-component, projects.
• Knowledge and experience in sizing and scoping integration efforts based on preliminary data.
• Proven experience successfully leading projects in an agile scrum format and a traditional software development lifecycle format.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, planning skills, and technical depth.
• Customer service orientation with a strong problem solving approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and process multiple data streams.
• Ability to prioritize and escalate where appropriate.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail.
• Proficient in MS Project, JIRA or another project management tool, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Job RequirementsMinimum Requirements: College degree in a Technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7 years professional level related Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
