Position Summary/Position

Under direction of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), the Project Manager II manages multiple medium to large, or moderately complex, projects through the full project life cycle within the set timeline, budget, and specifications. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager II will also define the project’s objectives and oversee project quality throughout the life cycle.

  • Evaluate & Improve Project Performance Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

1. Provide management and direction to IEHP Projects from inception through delivery, following IEHP standard processes and methodologies.
2. Collaborate with project sponsors and key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables and timeline.
3. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
4. Ensures that scope is clearly defined, business requirements are documented properly, and project plans are established which will meet planned objectives and successful project delivery.
5. Ensure that solutions (both technical and non-technical) are developed, tested, and verified against the agreed project scope
6. Effectively communicate project expectations to project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members in a timely and clear manner. This includes setting and continuing to manage project expectations with team members and all stakeholders.
7. Maintain project documentation as required, including but not limited to project charters, requirements documentation, design documents, risk and issue decision logs, status reports, test plans, scripts, and meeting notes.
8. Proactively manage changes to project scope; manage project risks and issues, escalating issues as necessary for timely resolution.
9. Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
10. Develop and manage project budgets.
11. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
12. Provide direction to project team members to ensure proper staffing, teamwork, and collaboration.
13. When required, leads or assists with the development of Request-For-Proposals (RFP) for new external projects and/or services (technical/functional) and/or technical services.
14. Perform other work tasks to support IT and the business departments on an as-needed basis
15. Adhere to established standards and practices leveraged within the ePMO, IT, and the business.
16. Manage multiple medium to large (in size, complexity, and/or risk) projects and associated budget and financials.
17. Manage vendors or contractors as needed on assigned projects
18. Manage small to medium software deployments that affect how we do business. Supervisory Responsibilities Leading: Self Experience Qualifications

Five plus (5+) years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, utilizing standard project management tools including all aspects of plan development and execution in both technical and functional settings. Must have worked in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. Experience with project management software such as MS Project and Workfront. Preferred Experience

Experience in healthcare is desirable. Knowledge or experience with Lean and Agile methodologies a plus. Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, Project Management, or related program from an accredited institution required.

Significant experience may be considered in lieu of degree: In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience is required. Professional Certification

Certified PMP desired, but not required.

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) a plus. Knowledge Requirement

Understanding of project management principles and best practices. Familiarity with Lean and Agile principles and processes. Skills Requirement

Starting Salary: $75,296.00 - $95,992.00
Pay rate will commensurate with experience
