Project Cost Analyst

We are looking for a Project Cost Analyst with experience and interest in managing budgets, analyzing costs, tracking finances and spending, and supporting execution on project spend plans. You will work in close coordination with our Director of Analysis, Controller, and Finance. In this role, you will help our analytical teams achieve their mission. What You'll Do:
- Manage the project/portfolio financial status to aid analysis team (directors and managers) in achieving budgetary goals
- Study the project/portfolio data to give advice for guiding business investments and overall project budgeting strategy
- Meet with the Director of Analysis, Portfolio Managers and Program Directors, and the Controller regularly
- Review project expenses in Bill.com and Divvy for allowability and accuracy
- Code and allocate expenses in Bill.com and Divvy for all projects
- Coordinate timely review and approval of expenses in Bill.com and Divvy for all projects
- Review labor allocations for variations from project plans and support in labor management
- Coordinate with members of the finance team to review project status reports and forecasts
- Coordinate with the Director of Analysis to implement forecast changes to projects to include labor adjustments and other support department expenses
- Analyze bi-monthly financial data and provide forecasting support
- Analyze current and past project performances to guide future project decisions
- Prepare reports and projections based on monthly analysis
- Assist with Monday Board creations to compare performance metrics to budgetary goals
- Assist in development of internal budgets, spend forecasting, and project setup
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred majors are economics, finance, accounting, or business
- Experience managing budgets and spend plans, including by:
- Analyzing costs
- Tracking expenditures
- Supporting the execution of spend plans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Deltek Costpoint, Monday, Bill.com, Divvy, or any accounts payable or expense management software
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- A positive attitude and desire to work in a people-facing role
