About the Opportunity

We are seeking a candidate to provide research and analysis of technical data and problems of varying complexity in order to develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to technical projects. The candidate will be accountable to provide guidance in identifying, evaluating and developing processes and procedures that are effective and meet requirements. They will also be accountable for reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues, and management. The candidate will participate in cross-functional linked teams (squads) to address technical or systems issues. They will determine best practices and suggests how to improve current practices and procedures. This is an experienced level position requiring developing career in field and gaining knowledge of industry practices. Requires moderate level of experience and proficiency in field. You will report to the Project Manager & Vice-President & Product Line Manager of the Developer Platform Group. You will be part of the Federal Reserve System's National IT Organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Follow detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance
  • Work with developers, application owners and vendors to collect requirements which will be entered and managed in a central system of record.
  • Performs complex analysis of business issues utilizing established methodology and tools within technology areas.
  • Work with the Project Manager, Product Managers / Product Owners and other resources to assess current capabilities, identify customer needs and recommends business process improvements within technology areas.
  • Provide complex support and collaboration in completing analysis, providing ad-hoc reports, information, or process mapping, and/or alignment of the business and related resources.
  • Contributes to and participates in process improvement and solution discussions and may present outcomes in written and verbal format to senior management. (Identification of TOIL)
  • Develops and designs new business processes and the elaboration and updating of existing business processes within technology areas.
  • Participates in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within technology areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding or experience with cloud technologies and terminology
  • Experience working in with Enterprise Change Management / Systems of Record (Remedy, ServiceNow)
  • Experience working in and Agile methodology (SCRUM / Kanban) and within a Product Model Org Structure.
  • Progressive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
  • Communications: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
  • Risk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her function’s risk management.
  • Decision Making: Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy. Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate action to be taken.
  • Cloud certifications a plus.
  • Site Reliability Engineering experience a plus (SRE)
  • Scripting, RPA, Automation, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), Six Sigma experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience with 2 to 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • The hiring range of the position is 72,000 – 99,900 annually. For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
