The Programmer Analyst is primarily responsible for helping meet the business needs of the company providing technical and administrative support for the company’s data management systems – both internally developed and externally managed This position requires the incumbent to provide leadership and support in the design and implementation of the database structure, queries, transforms, integrations and reports to support the needs as directed by the Business Architect Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within energy efficiency programs, and advanced technical aptitude in a multitude of technologies The Programmer/Analyst works within a team environment You will also be working with others who are passionate about energy efficiency and making a positive impact on the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide development, oversight, and management of the company’s investment in SalesForce.com
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of all database systems and processes
- Provide day to day support for the company’s data analysis requirements – designing procedures and queries to meet stakeholder needs
- Provide support to all departments, as needed, utilizing the company’s database systems
- Write and understand Microsoft SQL. Be able to write SQL statements, stored procedures and views using industry best practices for security and efficiency
- Database and code management, review and documentation
- Work with all functional departments and Program Teams to provide technical solutions to solve Program and business needs
- Manage and appropriately escalate issues in a help desk environment
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science (or equivalent work experience required)
- 2-4 years of experience designing, implementing, administering and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012
- Experience with TSQL, SQL server (MS SQL Server - Preferred)
- 3-5 years previous experience in MIS/Information Systems
- Experienced in best practices for design, development, modeling and implementation of data warehouses and relational databases
- com and force.com application development - Preferred
- SQL Server Stored Procedures, SSRS, and SSIS development – Preferred
- Help Desk and/or system and user troubleshooting and service experience – Preferred
- Energy Efficiency program implementation experience – Preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge and familiarity with front end and query tools, and database performance and tuning techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- Client-server based database system administration and maintenance experience - Preferred
- Ability to construct or troubleshoot XML
- Experience in developing robust reports and ETL-type processing using SQL server technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
- Experienced in best practices for design, development, modeling and implementation of data warehouses and relational databases
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios
- Reliable transportation
Licenses & Certifications
- MS Database certifications – Preferred
- Salesforce certifications (Certified Administrator, Developer) - Preferred
- Valid driver’s license
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time

- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Noise Level is typically moderate
