In this position you will collaborate with business and technical team members to automate the retail store, fuel management, and back-office processes. As a member of the Software Development Engineering team you will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery, and support of new technology capability. A successful Programmer Analyst will have a foundation of experiences and exposure to design skills, problem solving, system development methodologies, and a desire to be a key technical contributor. The software you will be responsible for will require a breadth of technical development knowledge (i.e. distributed systems, search indices, big data, orchestration software, analytics software). Daily work will involve interacting with technical team members, stakeholders, and managers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline. · Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · 5+ years industry experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer. Why Apply? · Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end software systems and all points in between.
· Software Engineer or Software Developer experience associated with accounting principles, logistics, supply chains and/or retail point of sale systems.
· Familiarity with professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.
· Experience communicating with users, software development engineering teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs.
