Program Manager – WIDIA Program Management Office (PMO) Kennametal, Inc.’s Latrobe, PA, office seeks a Program Manager – WIDIA Program Management Office (PMO) to coordinate and execute regional and global programs and projects that support the overall operation and strategic direction of the WIDIA organization to help achieve overall customer satisfaction and financial success. Duties include: (i) day-to-day coordination for operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects by developing work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and status reports; (ii) monitoring processes and provide reports on progress and achievement of business and project objectives to identify and manage the critical paths (capacity, capability, etc.) for projects and requirements; and (iii) optimizing resource allocation and utilization to accomplish project objectives efficiently and on-time. Must also have Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or have passed project management courses at an accredited higher education institution. Must have a master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering and Management, or a related field with an underlying bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Must also have five (5) years of experience in a related position involving program management and leading multiple projects with cross functional teams.
Must also have experience with or knowledge of: (i) data management and reporting using SAP, Dynamics CRM, Tableau, SQL, and similar applications such as PowerBI; (ii) metal-cutting product and manufacturing processes; (iii) working within a cross functional team environment; (iv) product design for manufacturing; (v) Product Lifecycle Management (SAP-PLM); (vi) experience in distribution sales management and other channels to market; (vii) ability to apply Minimum Viable Product (MVP) methodology for new product development; (viii) working knowledge of CAD/CAM programs; (ix) executing multiple complex projects from concept thru deployment with minimal supervision; (x) managing and prioritizing high workloads, multiple tasks, and multiple teams; (xi) working with overseas countries to facilitate collaboration across different cultures.
Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally to various unanticipated employer, client, and other locations up to 20%.
