POSITION SUMMARY: Under the mission of DOLA, the Division of Housing (DOH), the Program Manager, manages and supervises the inspections and plan review functions of the Building Codes & Standards Section. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the technical aspects of the team, which requires an assessment of the work to be accomplished, the desired outcomes, and determination of the best way to achieve those outcomes. As a working program manager, the position will also perform inspections and plan reviews as needed, particularly when staff is out or workload spikes in a particular area. Responsibilities of the Program Manager include: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in construction management, building construction technology, architecture, civil engineering, or a closely related field AND (4) Four years of professional experience as an architect, engineer, commercial plan reviewer, building inspector, building official (chief or assistant), contractor, or superintendent of construction. Certification or licensure in multiple construction/building trades, which must have included at least one of the International Code Council (ICC) code set (IRC, IBC, IPC, IECC, IMC, IFGC). Certification may also include national electric code and/or U.S. HUD manufactured housing construction and installation standards Current, valid driver's license.
