The Program Director (PD) for Family Services (FS) will be a leader in the provision of high quality clinical services for the poor in 16 outpatient counseling locations in the Diocese of Arlington as well as counseling services for the two transformational housing programs operated by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington. This is a leading edge clinical program which has clinicians go to where the need is greatest building community support around excellent clinicians providing empowering services for those most in need. The PD will be expected to oversee the expansion, enhancement and risk management of the FS offices, strengthen relationship with key parish partners and local non-profits. This leader will supervise the regional managers, clinicians, staff, and volunteers working at FS while working to maintain a supportive and positive working environment. In addition, the FS PD will be expected to maintain a small clinical case load as well as work collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Services and the Family Services Regional Managers to ensure the successful empowerment of clients with exceptional clinical services across the 21 county Diocese. Additional Responsibilities Work cooperatively and creatively with a wide range of stakeholder groups including Catholic parishes, Catholic schools, transitional housing program clinicians, community programs, other CCDA colleagues and volunteers. Able to build a team of clinicians and administrators with high trust, good communication, mutual support and accountability to create a healthy organization with over 15 clinicians. Believes strongly in the power of mental health services to transform individuals, couples and families. FS PD seeks to actively support and communicate the, Vision, Core Values and Mission of CCDA in all aspects of job. While serving clients of faith and clients of no faith, the FS PD actively seeks to incorporate Catholic anthropology of the human person to help clients transform their lives. FS PD actively seeks to improve the transformative impact of services for clients with a focus on gathering measurable data to indicate successful therapeutic outcomes. FS PD actively seeks to serve the poor and underserved in new and innovative ways in collaboration with other CCDA programs, local parishes, and non-profits across the Diocese. FS PD actively works with the Development office to find new sources of funding and sustainability for FS including but not limited to donor relationships, foundations, and grants. FS PD works closely with the CCDA Financial Department to be responsible for performing services on budget. FS PD submits timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reports to the Director of Clinical Services reflecting the services provided and activities conducted in a given time period by the FS staff. FS PD works to appropriately manage risk within the FS offices, working with CCDA’s Director of Quality Assurance, submitting Critical Incident reports, and consulting with the Director of Clinical Services as needed. Experience/Requirements Masters or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology or Clinical Social Work Licensed (LPC, LCSW, LCP or equivalent) or eligible for licensure in Virginia within 6 months. 5+ years of experience in providing outpatient mental health services Clinical experience with children, families, married couples. Able to be a leader delivering the tangible and intanglibles necessary to propel the organization. Openness to training and commitment to being a leader in the organization. Prior experience managing teams and volunteers Prior experience and an openness to building resources through fund raising, grant writing, budgetary management Prior experience with data-driven outcome measures that indicate successful clinical interventions. Must be willing to travel to different clinical sites to provide services and oversee clinicians. Must be willing to form and strengthen partnerships with Catholic parishes and pastors and ecumenical and government partners. High level of detail-orientation, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills. Understanding of, and adherence to, the Ethical Principles of good clinical care and management and the moral and social teachings of the Catholic Church.
