Program Coordinator Job Description Antioch University's IMA Program is a master’s program featuring foundation courses, seminars, individualized courses, a capstone, and thesis course. We currently serve 25 students and wish to expand to 75-100 students. We offer MA degrees in Individualized Studies in the Humanities and the Social Sciences, with a growing array of concentrations. Our program values diversity, social justice, and committed scholar practitioners who understand the underlying principles and operating procedures of self-design within a larger learning community. We operate with the School of Education and Individualized Studies. The IMA Program Coordinator is an hourly, paid administrative position that reports directly to the Chair of the Individualized Master of Arts. The coordinator works closely with the Department Chair, Program Faculty, and Students to assist with support functions related to the delivery of academic programs. The coordinator needs to have a solid working understanding of both the essential functioning and the essential academic vision of the IMA program, and is necessary for the provision of support to all facets of the program. The coordinator should help to nourish the unique pedagogy, culture, and the learning community of the program. The principle job duties include creating schedules and faculty contracts; the coordinator should also assist with orientations, community meetings, and other related interactions with relevant Antioch program offices. The coordinator must have an advanced working knowledge of relevant Academic Technology related to program delivery. Hours of Employment: This is a half-time, hourly position. The work schedule will be established in consultation with the Department Chair with some evenings and/or weekend hours required. The normal week is Monday through Friday. Program Coordinators are non-exempt employees.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary is $25.00 per hour for 20 hours per week. There is no paid overtime or benefits.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, and sit. They will be occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and required to have vision abilities.
