November 17, 2021 The Program Coordinator reports to the Director of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion and is responsible for supporting the center in achieving its mission. The CDI works to ensure that all students, particularly those who identify with historically underrepresented and/or marginalized identities, strive for and achieve academic excellence. The Program Coordinator is an essential member of a team of professionals dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the campus community. The program coordinator’s major responsibility is to coordinate the activities, events, and programs sponsored by CDI through event administration, social media promotion, marketing, budget management, and innovative organizing. The Program Coordinator also works with other campus offices on student programming, student support, and student involvement on campus and a strong, optimistic sense of community. In essence, the Program Coordinator assists the CDI Director by serving as a critical leader in developing strong interpersonal relationships with historically unrepresented and systematically minoritized students at Truman State University.
