Job Description Summary

Under the direction of Administrator, provide support to faculty, students, parents, clients and staff regarding inquiries and requests for information regarding Community and Corporate Education programs and services; assist with scheduling and maintaining classes, seminars and workshops; provide assistance and information to instructors regarding Community and Corporate Education services; prepare, maintain and update course offerings including descriptions for community services schedule.



Essential Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Provide resources and support to faculty, students, parents, clients and staff regarding inquiries and requests for information regarding Community and Corporate Education programs and services;
2. Serve as liaison between the College and community organizations, businesses and local school districts;
3. Assist with scheduling and maintaining classes, seminars and workshop;
4. Provide support to the Director regarding the coordination and assignment of dates, facilities and instructors for educational events;
5. Provide assistance and information to instructors regarding community and corporate education programs and services and assist with registration and validation services for continuing education courses;
6. Develop, prepare, and distribute promotional marketing material for program services and classes including brochures, press releases and posters to promote community and corporate education programs and services;
7. Conduct outreach events and activities to support program enrollment;
8. Prepare, process, monitor and code purchase orders and invoices for assigned office or program expenditures and budgets for cost effectiveness and compliance with budget limitations;
9. Prepare, maintain and update course offerings including descriptions for community services schedule;
10. Communicate with personnel and outside organizations to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts and exchange information;
11. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity while engaging with a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of faculty, staff, and students with physical and learning disabilities;
12. Effectively engage and support historically minoritized groups by addressing issues of equity and improving culturally responsive service-oriented practices.
13. Attend a variety of meetings as assigned;
14. Perform other related duties as assigned.

1. Online registration systems and reports;
2. Basic budgeting, invoice processing, and payment records;
3. Modern office practices, procedures and equipment;
4. Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities;

7. Methods of collecting and organizing data and information.

Education and Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to a graduation from high school supplemented by college-level coursework in business, communications or related field and one-year administrative experience.
Must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid California Class C Driver’s License
