Since 1982 San Francisco AIDS Foundation has been fighting to eliminate HIV transmission and to improve the quality and length of lives for people living with HIV. While progress has been substantial, our work is far from complete. More than 25,000 people every year access free HIV testing and STI screening, harm reduction and syringe access and disposal, community engagement, and health navigation services from SFAF. Position Overview::
The Program Assistant, Black Health – Per Diem is responsible for supporting the implementation and coordination of innovative and data-driven social support and community building interventions for African American/Black gay, bi, queer, transgender, gender non-conforming, same-gender loving and questioning individuals, with a focus on Black people living with HIV or at risk for HIV transmission. Black Health seeks to decrease isolation; improve knowledge of health issues affecting Black/African American communities; and increase HIV/HCV/STI testing & status awareness, linkage, and retention in care. Black Health engages members in order to improve individual, group and community health through social support groups, workshops, events, outreach and HIV/HCV/STI testing events.

Skill in operating equipment such as a personal computer, copy machine and telephone system. Ability to perform routine bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Work Environment:::
This position is primarily located at 1035 Market Street,: San Francisco, however it may occasionally require traveling to other office locations or off-site meetings as required by the job. Role may include evening and weekend coverage.
