Production Team Lead / Supervisor - Hiring Immediately - No Shift Work

Shift: Normal Business Hours

Location: This position will work out of our RDI Plant in the Bartlett/Cordova/Memphis area


Job Description


The Production Team Lead / Supervisor has overall responsibility for the pilot plant facility. Responsibilities include management of daily operations, sample production for Product Development Team, service of external pilot plant customers, Food Safety/Food Security/GMP/Safety training, daily housekeeping/general upkeep with periodic cleaning per master cleaning schedule, raw material and supply maintenance, compliance vs. cleaning/operations SOP’s with and annual SOP reviews and updates, and support equipment PM program.

  • Provides support to Stratas Product Development team through coordination, scheduling and executing production of experimental samples and small scale qualifying production runs ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness. Must maintain accurate, detailed records of all production projects and responsible for issuing project production report. Prioritize weekly production projects and execute per priorities established.
  • Provide support for Stratas Pilot Plant external services work from scheduling, execution, confirming quality/accuracy and shipment. Fully document all work in laboratory notebooks.
  • Execute duties in full compliance of all pilot plant programs including Food Safety, Food Security, general GMP’s, HACCP, and Kosher including ensuring full compliance against all programs and policies, annual training of pilot plant team, and annual policy review/updates.
  • Responsible for maintaining general housekeeping of pilot plant in compliance with AIB standards at all times. Also responsible for periodic cleaning per master cleaning schedule.
  • Responsible for maintaining stocks of basic raw materials/supplies & FIFO use of such materials to ensure rapid turnaround of pilot plant projects.
  • Responsible for drafting, periodic review, and full compliance against all cleaning, sanitizing, and equipment operation SOP’s.
  • Responsible for driving rigor behind safety policies and procedures within the pilot plant and delivering against Stratas safety goals. Active participant on Stratas - RDI’s Safety Committee.
  • Responsible for ensuring all equipment is serviced and maintained via the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education:
High School Diploma or Associate Degree in related field with a minimum of 5-7 years supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment or Bachelor Degree in related field with a minimum of 2-4 years supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment

Related Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in fats & oils manufacturing a strong plus.
  • Experience in fats & oils manufacturing a strong plus.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance a strong plus.

Equipment/Software Skills: Must be fully competent in basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Shelby County Boiler Licensure and Boiler/Steam Engineer License (1st or 3rd Class License) required or obtained within an agreed upon time frame.
