A world leader in Equipment manufacturing has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor in its Richmond, VA facility
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing various operations to support the production schedule. This is achieved through directing team leads and assembly employees in the safe and quality performance of their jobs. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Responsibilities Include
- Provide employee coaching and development through training and mentoring and participating in onboarding.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
- Work to continuously improve in all areas
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress updates to the manager.
- Hold team members accountable to various company policies and procedures and act as a role models for expected team member behavior
- Establish and manage standard work to ensure jobs are performed safely and efficiently
- Perform effective problem solving to resolve equipment, parts, and assembly issues
- Support company business and production plans to meet overall objectives
- Identify improvement opportunities to support employees to positively impact work experience
- Establish training programs to achieve operational flexibility and successful onboarding of new team members
- Make employment decisions with the support of management and Human Resources related to discipline, promotion, hiring, and termination
Job Requirements

Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond appropriately to work pressures
A mature and tactful communicator in both written and verbal contexts
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated leadership with groups
Experience
Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
2 years of experience supervising and leading a production team
Demonstrated problem-solving ability
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
