Position Summary
A Food Manufacturing company engage in perishable food (produce, meat, dairy) is seeking a Production Manager to join the team! MUST have leadership experience, positions will have a couple of Production Supervisors reporting into him/her and be responsible for a production staff of 100+ people.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent required
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a management position
- Previous food manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Was able to manage atleast 100+ production personnel
- Spanish bi-lingual preferred, but not required
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a neat and timely fashion
- Manage training of all new hires
- Meet established standards for quality and productivity
- Strong leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Manage Production Supervisors and job responsibilities
- Responsible for continuous improvement to Quality and Food Safety
- Responsible for managing Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the production floor
- Maintain and uphold finished product specifications Member of HACCP team
- Ensure Quality and Food Safety training for Production Managers
- Assist in product traceback and recalls
- Communicate with other departments to maintain an efficient and production line of cooperation
- Assist in managing issues, absences, accidents and rule infractions with Production Supervisor
- Ensure all daily customer comments are read and corrective actions are done as needed
- Responsible for team meeting all efficiency standards
- Assist in monitoring and reducing overtime as needed
- Ensure team is keeping a safe and clean workplace
- Drive team to reduce waste
- Hold team to meet all established standards
- Work necessary hours per week to complete job function
- Plant Manager will assume role responsibilities in case of absence
- Follow and enforce all GMP and PPE procedures per Company requirements
- Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations per Company requirements
- Follow and enforce any and all additional duties or responsibilities assigned by Plant Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
