The Product Specialist is a senior level position in the Global Structuring unit having a singular focus on the administration of corporate actions and shareholder meetings for Depositary Receipt programs. The specialist is required to manage regular meetings and calls with business units and clients in order to keep everyone current with the progress against the corporate action or proxy timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Process a significant volume of work assignments within specified timeframes
- Possess technical knowledge of the Stock Transfer business
- Co-ordinate with Relationship Managers, Operations and Depositary’s Transfer Agent on project plans
- Advise and assist corporate Issuers in the execution of corporate actions (splits, rights offerings, mergers, spin-offs and ratio changes)
- Complete DR Program transfers on successor depositary appointments
- Communicate corporate action terms and deadlines to the Depository Trust Company and US and Non-US Stock Exchanges
- Plan and prepare proxy materials with internal and external counsel and Issuers. Conduct broker searches to determine the number of beneficial holders. Provide proxy tabulation results to Issuers and custodians
- Maximize revenue opportunities from corporate actions

- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
