Product Research Analyst

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities
- Identifies and defines the objective of an assigned research project; determines the best methods to use to meet those objectives
- Researches, compiles and maintains data related to the current competitive landscape, customer demographics and interest, and factors influencing product demand; analyzes results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration of current products
- Compiles data related to competitors' products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology
- Assist in gathering Voice of the Customer and Win/Loss analysis, working to compile customers' references and feedback in conjunction with the Product Leaders/Managers
- Prepares detailed reports on recommended customer experience, market trends, and competitors' outcomes
- Summarizes and analyzes data in readily available reports; makes recommendations related to research findings
- Identifies potential new products and markets through research; segment the target audience and determining the appropriate markets to be approached
- Forecasts and tracks industry marketing and sales trends based on collected data * Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on all the aforementioned activities and their results
- Drafts questionnaires, polls, surveys, and other data collection resources
- Build and maintain a database of serviceable marketing artifacts for the Product team and assist Product Managers in navigating our Product Methodology and GTM process

Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Five (5) years in a UX-related role, or any equivalent education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been demonstrated/achieved.
- Experience with research and analytics tools such as Lookback, UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Hotjar, Dovetail, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Segment etc.
- Advanced verbal, written, and presentation communication skills (internal and external).
- Ability to translate complex concepts and methodologies into easily understood language.
- Knowledge of highly regulated environments such as Finance or Healthcare
- Experience with User experience, associated elements (personas, journeys, design thinking, user flows, wireframes, user stories) and decomposition, road-mapping
