Job Description


The Role:

In this rapidly evolving world, CareBand is always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. We are seeking an experienced product owner to lead the charge on this mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and real-world experience distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly, you will be integral to helping us build better products that people and businesses love to use.


Objectives:

  • Talk with customers and stakeholders to craft vision and concept development of a product
  • Take lead of scrum teams, defining product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, communicating with stakeholders throughout the project
  • Work with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
  • Work closely with product management/business teams to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Keep up with agile/scrum best practices and trends

Daily & Month Responsibilities

  • Translate complex and ambiguous business problems into crisp product strategies and roadmaps, while managing prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience and time to market
  • Write product/marketing documents, requirements, user stories, product specifications, ensuring clear communication and coordination with business, design and development teams
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by the development teams
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
  • Actively mitigate roadblocks impacting successful team completion of release/sprint goals
  • Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
  • Serve as the product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions related to the product
  • Become a trusted advisor to customers on the CareBand platform

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Business Technology, product management or related discipline
  • MBA or Master’s degree (preferred)
  • 2-3+ years experience in product development
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile process and principles
  • Understanding of business value around feature/functions
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
