The Western Aircraft Product Line Sales Manager for Textron is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of all activities related to Parts & Logistics support of the Textron Product Line. In a strategic role, this person will assist the Director of Parts & Logistics with budgeting, mid-term action planning, long term strategic planning, OEM relationship management, and support with employee evaluations and talent development. This person will be responsible for working directly with customers, vendors, and internal divisions to build relationships and create long term sustainable growth for Western Aircraft and our Textron business portfolio.
In this role, the Product Line Manager will proactively market, sell and ensure satisfaction with the products delivered in the OTC Sales area.
This is an exempt position with an incentive component
Job Duties- Ownership of Textron Product Line P&L and Customer / OEM relationships for Textron
- Give direction to sales, rotables, warehouse, and customer support organizations
- Generate and/or review and present accurate monthly reports related to the Textron account
- Participate in budget and strategic reviews with Western Aircraft Executive Management
- Actively manage the value chain for Textron Products from Purchasing through Cash Collection
- Assist the Accounting Department with monthly account reconciliation, as necessary
- Develop company systems, practices, and procedure manuals for the Sales Department
- Coordinate with Aircraft Sales and MRO to leverage the maximum benefit for Western Aircraft
- Proactively network and develop new relationships, and establish sales positioning for potential business opportunities
- Cultivate business by managing sales pipeline, winning sales, and providing sales and customer support
- Lead activities associated with new business opportunities for customers and related products
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of all Western Aircraft products and services
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Experience & Competencies:- Minimum of 5 years of Aviation Part Sales Experience with Textron Products
- In -depth knowledge of Aviation Parts Marketplace with established relationships
- Strong financial Acumen with demonstrated history of P&L / Commercial Pricing Management
- Strong foundation in MS Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, presenting and communicating
- Proficiency with, or ability to thoroughly learn, CRM software, such as Salesforce.com
- Must have working knowledge of Corridor system
- Ability to interpret and navigate Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, and technical directives
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, or in the case of an applicant who does not meet this requirement and who is employed outside of the United States by a U.S. air carrier, have his certificate endorsed “Valid only outside the United States.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, AP School, or Equivalent Foundation Training preferred
