Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a product delivery support role (release train engineer, scrum master, project/program manager, etc.)
  • 2 years of experience with the product development lifecycle
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Certified SAFe Agilist (SA) or at least one role-based SAFe certification
  • Base-level knowledge of a work-tracking tool, such as TFS or Jira (or similar work tracking tools)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word and Visio)

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAFe SM, SAFe RTE, CSPO, CSM and/or SAFe PO/PM certifications
  • Advanced knowledge of a work tracking tool, such as Azure DevOps or Jira (or similar work tracking tools)
  • Advanced knowledge of product tools and best practices
  • High-level understanding of Product and Design best practices

Job Summary

The Product Coach serves as a strategic partner and thought leader for Product Strategy Pods. They lead pods by adopting Agile practices, optimizing workflow and product practices that enable innovation and the delivery of high-quality, high-impact breakthrough experiences. They implement effective work intake and prioritization practices, prepare and facilitate pod-level planning ceremonies, establish and implement continuous improvement opportunities, remove roadblocks and provide visibility, along with metrics into the progress of active work.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the flow of value for a pod by coaching the team toward Lean and Agile processes
  • Provide visibility into the status of product commitments and maintain capacity plans
  • Use metrics effectively in coaching teams and product leaders
  • Collect feedback and work with the teams to review, analyze and improve delivery practices
  • Lead the preparation leading up to release planning, execute release planning and manage the release calendar of events
  • Facilitate the scrum of scrums and other key product rituals as needed
  • Teach team members the skills they can use to improve their processes
  • Speak in front of groups and lead meetings
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer through workshops, trainings and informal coaching
  • Make critical process recommendations and think strategically to optimize the entire system
