The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. 10+ years of relevant experience Experience in applications development and agile development Experience in management Experience managing global technology teams Working knowledge of industry practices and standards Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Able to Architect solution Hands on Java, J2EE, Spring batch, Mongo and Angular technologies Experience in implementing product with micro service based architecture Extensive understating in ECS and AWS cloud technologies with CI/CD pipeline Demonstrated leadership, people and project management skills Understanding Finance and regulatory business will be plus Technical Bit bucket, Java, J2EE, EAP, Mongo, Oracle, Ci/CD, ECS/AWS Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Preferred Regulatory background Job Purpose: Insight is regulatory reporting platform, and we are looking for product owner who can understand regulatory and management reporting requirements, working with clients and implement technology solutions. The person in this role will manage 10+ scrum teams, architect complex solutions with simplicity, solve technical problems and have great sense of ownership. The person will implement requirements, keeping digital first in mind and provide excellence delivery. Responsibilities includes solution architecture, designing, ensuring best practices followed by the scrum team, timely delivery of regulatory commitments, people management, mentoring team members, building teams, retaining/nurturing talent, application development oversight and interaction with other technologists across the location. You will be a good communicator, who can work effectively with both local as well as remote teams. Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Engineering mindset to solve reporting issues Utilize in-depth knowledge of regulatory and management concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues Gain extensive knowledge of certain products to guide technology team Team building (recruiting/retaining top talent across the organization); Foster collaboration across the team and build technical excellence in database, middleware and UI components Effectively apply Citi support methodologies and enforces project standards Prepare and present team/project reviews on a regular basis to senior management Facilitate team and client meetings.
