Your responsibilities
- Your portfolio will be primarily focused on aerospace and industrial type components.
- Lead sourcing actives and negotiations for medium / high value critical Purchasing activity to optimise cost opportunities and contract coverage
- To develop and deploy tailored supply chain strategies for the business unit driving long-term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery performance
- Support internal Procurement transformational programs
- Co-ordinate and interface with global Supply Chain Management counterparts, Global senior stakeholders and other Procurement organizations with in.
- Undertake major contractual and price negotiations with exiting key suppliers
- Develop and foster mutually beneficial relationships with new suppliers, including risk-sharing partnerships where applicable enabling access to supplier technology and expertise
- Make sourcing recommendations at BU and Siemens Energy Global Sourcing Board levels
- Report on plans, activities and results to direct and functional managers
- Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement
- Assess Supplier and portfolio risks and align the strategic objectives to mitigate the business exposure
- Foster usage of eProcurement tools with the vision to grow standard catalogue coverage for major equipment
