Title: Print Traffic
Department(s): Theater Operations/Programming
Reports to: Print Traffic Manager

Job Summary The Print Traffic department ensures that all film content (physical or digital) arrives intact and that all technical information is received from distributors, studios, producers, directors, other festivals, etc. within the timelines needed for quality control. The Print Traffic Coordinator will assist and work in conjunction with the Print Traffic Manager to track, manage, and deliver all content as specified according to a set of procedures. This position works closely with the programming and theater technical teams.
Elements of the position include - Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of all feature films with distributors, producers, directors, other festivals, etc. within the timelines needed for quality control checks and screenings
- Coordinate with programmers over film titles and obtain film contact information
- Contact distributors and/or other festivals and arrange for delivery of film prints to our festival
- Distribute venue server information to print traffic contacts for KDM creation for encrypted DCPs and digital files
- Coordinate with Film Administration to obtain film technical information
- Liaise with projectionists and venue managers at each Festival venue as it relates to print traffic
- Collecting, keeping, and using data securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
- Managing digital data in an organization a broad range of tasks, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Continual reporting of print status and usage during the film festival
- Perform print deliveries/moves between 6 venues (18-21 screens)
- Troubleshoot and communicate all DCP/digital content emergencies and/or damages regardless of time or place
- Coordinate with shipping agents and couriers (i.e., FedEx, DHL, C-Air) over the inbound and outbound shipments of films, especially to insure the print’s arrival by its screening date
- Catalogue shipment information of all films in the FileMaker database, including costs, in/outbound addresses, ETAs, and expected departures, formats, and updates in shipment history duties as assigned
Abilities required - 2 years of print traffic or film festival theater operations experience preferred
- 2 years of progressive shipping/receiving experience in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of DCP, KDM, and digital content download practices
- Knowledge of International shipping practices and shipping/receiving knowledge
- Computer literacy and familiarity with various computer programs such as FileMail, Google Drive, WeTransfer, and DropBox.
- Knowledge of DCP creation and technical troubleshooting valued
- Experience dealing with confidential information
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
