The Role:
As a Principal SoC Architect, you will be responsible for defining the architecture and feature set of SoCs that are used in a range of Amazon Devices products, including streaming media, Echo and IoT devices. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary groups including Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Reliability and Operations to drive key aspects of SoC feature set that meets the requirements of products. You will be responsible for defining all aspects of SoC architecture, including compute engines, IO interfaces, memory and storage interfaces, security implementation, and power and performance KPIs. The ideal candidate should have led an SoC project as a lead architect from conception to launch and has hands-on experience in all aspects of SoC design, including front-end architecture development, RTL design and synthesis, RTL modeling and verification, power and performance analysis, manufacturing and qualification. The candidate should have expertise in at least one of the following areas: CPU architecture, memory controllers, video system architecture, audio DSPs, low power WiFi and BT, graphics and display engines.
