Cloud Data Center Cybersecurity (Cloud DC2) team is looking for a Principal Program Manager to drive new high-profile Security Monitoring Service and high performing PM team. Cloud DC2 is a start-up team at Microsoft chartered to secure cloud datacenters with very lofty goals. We are looking for a strong Program Manager who can help us take an exciting new idea, refine it, and grow what we believe will be one of high impacting Security Service.   • Help define feature roadmap as we iterate to the future. Drive multiple simultaneous engineering projects with our partners ranging from experimentation to global product launches
  • Apply data driven insights to create business justifications and value proposition for proposed engineering investments
  • Convert complex scenarios into business requirements and then drive technical feature specifications
  • Bring those scenarios to market, drive adoption, and evaluate their success
  • Partner with the software engineering teams to implement scenarios that will increase the capability to deliver against critical KPIs
  • Manage schedules, risks, and issues with effective communication to the team, to senior management and company executives
  • Learn from our successes and our failures, and feed those learnings back into our own hypothesis driven development cycle
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of work experience designing, building and/or implementing software products.
  • 5+ years of experience in shipping customer-facing solutions or products as a product/program manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Having recent experience with cloud services design and/or deployment is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading external partner engagements strongly preferred
  • Excellent cross-group/cross-discipline skills
  • Practical experience in all aspects of software engineering and development lifecycle; particularly with scenario focused design and development
  • Highly cooperative, empathetic and strong interpersonal skills to create clarity and align differing viewpoints
  • Self-starter that can work independently with little supervision
