Principal Planner - (2200791)
Job Overview:
Supervise assigned planning team and lead planning activities including but not limited scheduling, progress, productivity analysis and reporting activities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Comply with Company procedures and Safety, Ethics and Quality.
- Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of assigned planning staff.
- Develops and maintains the contract master schedule in line with the project requirements.
- Ensures that the project's priorities are clearly communicated to the PMT, Engineering and yard supervision.
- Develops and maintains detailed work schedules for all the main phases of the project.
- Implements the progress and productivity reporting systems in accordance with established procedures.
- Reviews and integrates subcontractor schedules and ensures compliance with project requirements.
- Interfaces with other projects to ensure efficient usage of resources.
- Identifies and communicates to project management potential delays and assesses the impact to the project.
- Produces and updates forecast manpower histograms for input to the yard manning forecasts.
- Attends the client, PMT and fabrication weekly meetings.
- Assists in the professional development of the junior planning staff.
- High standard of safe working practice, quality, and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conducts.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Having strong leadership skill.
- Possess Undergraduate Degree
- Strong experience in fabrication planning and scheduling
- Possess 10 years’ experience in fabrication planning and scheduling
Project / Area / Regional Specifics:
Position will start in Houston, TX 2-3 years and then transfer to Squamish, BC, Canada.
