The Principal Analyst will be responsible for leading programs, projects, and stakeholder engagement for Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions for our workforce business services. This role will work across the organization with business and IT partners and external service providers to identify, plan, and deliver the IAM capabilities required to enable Medtronic workforce.

The incumbent will help to build, organize, and manage program priorities and will document and manage all related processes, as well as the business and functional requirements for new work. They will also support related systems and projects throughout planning, configuration, testing, and implementation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Lead the collection of business and user requirements and documents the resulting functional specifications for workforce Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  • Develop and maintain the related capability roadmap(s) and priorities
  • Lead the process and functional roadmaps for workforce IAM initiatives.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment to workforce identity and access management program priorities
  • Develop and manage value-focused metrics to sustain business engagement
  • Drive business and risk-focused prioritization to achieve desired outcomes from the program(s).
  • Assist customers with business process modeling, analysis, and governance.
  • Manage business relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the technology team(s) to make policy and process decisions.
  • Contribute to ongoing business cases to support IAM roadmap, and effectively manage and communicate the risks and trade-offs of various solutions and strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships as appropriate to provide Medtronic with the highest value, lowest overall cost with highest quality service globally.
  • Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices.
  • Maintain current, relevant industry knowledge to understand evolutions and advancements in the marketplace which could bring value to the team or the company
  • May act as project manager on some projects where one is not assigned.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Previous Medtronic experience
  • Priority consideration will be given to local applicants
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or business-related discipline
  • Experience developing requirements and functional designs for IT systems, especially Identity & Access Management solutions.
  • Experience in leading requirements development and management for large enterprise projects
  • Previous experience with Identity & Access Management business processes in general including privacy considerations as related to Identity
  • Experience designing, deploying and working with validated systems
  • High degree of ‘learning agility’ with the ability to readily consume and apply new information and concepts with developed analytical problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and in a virtual organization
  • Experience mentoring, training and coaching less experienced staff
  • Strong decision-making skills and results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management, and vendor partners
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentations skills, with a strong customer focus and a demonstrable ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience to translate highly technical information into business terminology
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
