QualificationsApplicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
Basic Requirements:
Preferred Experience: Board eligible or board certified by virtue of completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Quality of medical education as indicated by reputation and ranking of medical school and residency training program. Strength of references submitted by supervisors or peers familiar with the candidate's clinical skills, interpersonal abilities and professional attributes. Understanding of and fitness for PACT in terms of knowledge of systems, teamwork, quality improvement and access. Communication abilities as indicated by phone or in-person interview.
Reference: VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office.
