Job Summary The primary purpose of this role is to assist set up, assist with adjustments, safely operate and maintain the Heidelberg lithographic printing press. While assisting the Press Operator the Press assistant will put an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety and good housekeeping. Principal Accountabilities: · In charge of rapid change over between jobs · Stage paper for upcoming jobs · Stage plates for upcoming jobs · Maintain ink fountains · Maintain blanket wash cassettes · Assist with beginning and end of shift procedures · Perform quality checks and stack finished product · Record production data with accuracy · Adhere to work quality standards and standard of work · Run equipment at optimal level at all times to meet daily production goals · Adhere to safety standards Minimum Qualifications: · Pass math and ruler test · Pass problem-solving test · Manufacturing experience Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities) · Interpret and follow directions with precision · Computer skills for job detail input and machine operation · Excellent collaborative skills Preferred Qualifications: · Manufacturing environment experience Preferred Competencies: · Strong mechanical aptitude · Detail oriented Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
