-Monday - Friday

-3:00pm- 11:00pm or 11:00pm to 7:00am (3rd shift starts on Sunday night)

Position Purpose: Assist the Press Operator in manufacturing business forms with a priority given to safety, quality, waste and productivity. Assist on TMMW or MWCR presses.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and practice department safety guidelines to assure the safety of oneself, co-workers and equipment.
  • Assist with pre-make ready of next order prior to completing run of present order.
  • During make ready, clean ink units and put paper in correct position. Assist with setting of perforations, punching, registration and sheet alignment. Ensuring forms match docket specification per SOP.
  • Pull samples throughout the run in accordance with existing samples procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area. Lubricate, adjust and maintain the press to keep it in good operating condition. Perform housekeeping duties per departmental requirements.
  • Complete press logs, ST control charts and packing lists. Input required information into SSDC system.
  • Pack forms into cartons per docket instructions. Additional packaging/finishing operations may be required.
  • Perform other related duties and overtime as required.

Required Skills


Experience
: Manufacturing/machine operator experience preferred, but not required.


Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures and other related documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals. Ability to apply these principles to use of measurement tools including rulers and densitometer. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Basic window based computer skills.


Essential Functions: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee s occasionally required to climb or balance. The employ must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
