Description:

Maya Wiley for Mayor is hiring a full time Policy Project Manager. This role will report directly to the Policy Director . This is a cycle position with a start date of 2/10/2021 and will conclude upon the end of the campaign. There should be no assumption of employment extending beyond the conclusion of the campaign.

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the policy, scheduling, and political teams to streamline front-facing policy deliverables based on conversations with various citywide stakeholders
• Spearhead, calendar, and manage daily briefings across departments
• Undertake and assign basic policy research tasks on a variety of topics including but not limited to education, housing, climate change, and economic development
• Communicate across departments to deliver briefings to the candidate
• Work with the political team to assess and answer policy substance in political questionnaires received by the campaign

• All this work will be conducted in accordance with COVID safety guidelines and will be completed in a safe, healthy, and socially distanced way.

Qualifications:

• Excellent and proven communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated experience in research or advocacy
• 3-5 years of experience in project management
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of New York City and the most pressing issues impacting its communities
• Some electoral or advocacy campaign experience is appreciated but not required
• Passion for electing Maya Wiley to be the first woman Mayor of New York City

Benefits include health insurance, flexible PTO, and salary is $72,000.
