Description:
Provides uniformed, armed law enforcement protection and services by the authority of the Attorney General of North Carolina.
Education and Credentials Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Basic Law Enforcement Certification (BLEC). Valid NC drivers license with violations not exceeding medical center standards or insurance carrier regulations. Certification in CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) within six months of employment and annual recertification. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.
Preferred:
Some College Courses.
Work Experience:
Two years experience as a sworn Police officer, Sheriffs Deputy or other sworn Law Enforcement. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred:
More than two years experience.
